### **Gameplay**

For awakening ability use :skill[Enviska's Might].

- For Chaos dungeons starting in the center of the first room you want to let the mobs run at you and start off with :skill[Reverse Gravity] into :skill[Ice Shower] then move to a choke point and use :skill[Blaze] + :skill[Seraphic Hail] then place down :skill[Lightning Vortex] with a :skill[Esoteric Reaction] on top of it slightly in front of you. As your cooldowns go use :skill[Punishing Strike] to instant wipe trash mobs and :skill[Inferno] as a filler.

- Moving into stage 2 there will be elites that upon death give you a cooldown reduction find all 3 elite mobs round them up and make use of your :engraving[Preemptive Strike] with :skill[Enviska's Might] then clear up the mobs until the next set of elites spawn but this time use  :skill[Punishing Strike] to instant kill the elites that you round up. This way your :skill[Enviska's Might] will be available again once the boss spawns from picking up all the cooldown orbs from the elites (total 7).
On boss spawn use :skill[Enviska's Might] and as soon as the boss is dead and all elites are dead too move on to the next stage.

- Moving into stage 3 run ahead of the pack of the monsters and put down your :skill[Blaze] + :skill[Seraphic Hail] and repeat the :skill[Lightning Vortex] with a :skill[Esoteric Reaction] on top of it slightly in front of you to kill all incoming mobs that remain. Use:skill[Enviska's Might] or :skill[Punishing Strike] to instant kill the elites and mob wave that come out of the crystals. 


- Cube runs are pretty simple, just make sure to save identity gauge for :skill[Blink] for survive stages and only use :skill[Enviska's Might] for elite boss stages. You will only have access to your number 1 health potions (5 green 5 blue 7 purple) across the full cube run, you will however respawn if you group up and happen to die but your team clears the stage with about 20% health. Use ability logic as explained before to group up mobs and kill bosses easily as stated before stacking :skill[Blaze] + :skill[Seraphic Hail] or :skill[Lightning Vortex] with a :skill[Esoteric Reaction] on top of it or :skill[Reverse Gravity] into :skill[Ice Shower] as you see fit for the situation.

### **Stats**

For stats depending on what your primary build will be you will focus on Swiftness/Crit for :engraving[Reflux] or Specialization/Crit for :engraving[Igniter]

### **Summary** 

This build is designed for instant killing as much as frequent as possible and filling up the dead time effectively by rounding them up and repeating the process rapidly. ### **Intro**

The :engraving[Igniter] Sorceress has High Burst Damage, High Weak Point Damage, No Positionals (back/front attack) and is a Ranged dps character that is fun to play for those insane damage numbers. She is however very Squishy, has Low Moblity, Long Cast Times, and limited Push Immunity available.
And because of that she has a very low skill starter level but extremely high to master due to her lack of mobility and being stuck casting her hardest hitting abilities. If you learn to deal with this she has one of the highest bursts in the entire game. She will slam dunk those :skill[Doomsday]'s shoot those :skill[Explosion]s and :skill[Punishing Strike] her targets straight to hell.

- At 256 Skill Points level up :skill[Inferno] to level 4 and add :tripod[Inferno, Rift Acceleration]

- :skill[Frost's Call] Generates a lot of identity gauge with long range and decent damage.
- :skill[Rime Arrow] Main Identity Gauge Damage Ability. Does high damage. Used to animation cancel :skill[Punishing Strike], :skill[Doomsday] or :skill[Explosion].
- :skill[Explosion] This is your 2nd hardest hitting ability. Slow cast and travel time, small AoE and Weak Point level 2.
After casting has a big recoil animation that can be canceled with either spacebar,  :skill[Punishing Strike], :skill[Doomsday] or :skill[Rime Arrow]
- :skill[Doomsday] This is your hardest hitting ability. It has a delayed landing time after the long cast with a reasonable sized AoE and Weak Point level 2. You can animation cancel after casting it with either your spacebar, :skill[Punishing Strike] or  :skill[Rime Arrow].
- :skill[Punishing Strike] This is your 3rd hardest hitting ability. It does great stagger and is easy to land, but has long cast time. The animation after casting can be canceled with either spacebar, :skill[Doomsday] or :skill[Rime Arrow].
- :skill[Inferno] Damage filler and Part breaker (Weak Point). Can be enhanced to Weak point lv.2 with tripods if necessary.
- :skill[Enviska's Might] Awakening Ability with Super Armor.

**Skill Variations**

Swap out :skill[Inferno] for :skill[Squall] or :skill[Ice Shower] if you need a counter ability. 

Instead of :skill[Seraphic Hail] for a ranged option you can use :skill[Esoteric Reaction] with :tripod[Esoteric Reaction, Quick Prep] :tripod[Esoteric Reaction, Enhanced Strike] :tripod[Esoteric Reaction, Stabilized Crystal]

- Note: If the fight requires a significant amount of Weak Point damage use :skill[Inferno] with :tripod[Inferno, Weak Point Enhancement].

### **Gameplay & Skill Rotation**

- Try to maintain your debuff on the boss with :skill[Blaze] whenever it's available. The Lingering burn on the ground allows the debuff to last 10-11 seconds before it needs to be reapplied.
- Build up your identity gauge with your normal rotation. In particular with, :skill[Seraphic Hail], :skill[Rime Arrow] and  :skill[Frost's Call] to give you the most gauge per skill.
-  :skill[Blaze], :skill[Inferno], :skill[Squall] and auto-attacks also give some gauge, so you should weave this into your rotation when everything else is on cooldown. When fighting a Counterable boss, try not to use  :skill[Squall] when a boss hasn't been countered recently. However Counter has a 30 seconds internal cooldown, so if a boss has been Countered recently, you can freely use your :skill[Squall] as a filler.
- :skill[Doomsday] should always be your last big skill to use in a rotation while building up identity gauge. If you've used everything and  :idskill[Arcane Rupture] is available, then you can use your  :skill[Doomsday] into  :idskill[Arcane Rupture] into everything else if they're on cooldown.
- If  :skill[Explosion] and  :skill[Punishing Strike] are also not on cooldown, then you could save them for after the :idskill[Arcane Rupture] They do not have to be on cooldown first.
- You can optimize your :idskill[Arcane Rupture] by using it right before the :skill[Doomsday] impact instead of the moment you finish the channel. This is a minor optimization/adjustment and benefits you mainly in Tier 2/Tier3 gameplay.
- Try to allign your big burst combo with the support's major synergies. Supports have two main buffs that can stack together, ideally your burst is whilst you have both of these buffs available. This would greatly increase your damage.
-  :skill[Explosion] should cancel into  :skill[Punishing Strike] which should cancel into :skill[Rime Arrow] This rotation is the same with or without :idskill[Arcane Rupture] available. Your :skill[Doomsday] has a very long cooldown, and you don't want to be waiting on your opening skill when :idskill[Arcane Rupture] is available. If you almost filled up your  :idskill[Arcane Rupture], refrain from using :skill[Doomsday]. Because of the buff that :engraving[Igniter] gives to :idskill[Arcane Rupture], the other abilities can be on cooldown since they'll come off of cooldown within the 15 seconds of :idskill[Arcane Rupture] for you to cast them.

Burst window combo goes as follows.

If you do not have a :skill[Blaze] debuff up before casting :skill[Doomsday] and :idskill[Arcane Rupture] you can quickly cast it before :skill[Doomsday lands.

### **Stats**

The :engraving[Igniter] Sorceress prioritizes Specialization. For secondary stats for the highest damage output you want Critical, for more comfort go Swiftness.

The highest damage setup is is Specialization with Crit in a 70/30 balance format.
If you find yourself struggling you could go Swiftness for a more consistent burst window to easier fit in the extra :skill[Doomsday] at lower gear.

Jewelry should be the following for a optimized stat spread. 
- Necklace Specialization + Critical/Swiftness
- Rest Specialization.

### **Engravings**

- For starter engravings you want to focus on :engraving[Igniter] level 1 and :engraving[All-Out Attack] 3.

**Endgame Engravings**

- :engraving[Hit Master] is a strong engraving for your overall damage. It has the same benefits as :engraving[Cursed Doll] with no drawbacks.
- :engraving[Precise Dagger] is used for added crit chance. Since all of your damage is focused into a small burst window scoring critical hits will be essential. The -12% Critical Damage is easily mitigated by the build. :engraving[Precise Dagger is used due to the high cooldowns of the :engraving[Igniter] build.

**Advanced Engravings**

Once you get more familiar with the game the following engravings will outweigh their drawbacks and are easily the Best in Slot in most setups for Tier 3 content. They are typically chosen later on in the build after you have your core 2-3 Level 3 Engravings. 

These engravings are not to be used unless at Engraving Level 3.

- :engraving[Grudge] is difficult to fit into the build since a lot of the engravings are for comfort to fit the build. However it still gives the most efficient damage once you can overcome its drawback.
- :engraving[Cursed Doll] is often chosen as the last engraving. It increases your damage, but reduces healing received. This can be partially counter-acted with the Forest of Giants 3 Set card set that boosts your healing from potions by 15%, however once you outgrow this set replacing it you will notice a vast difference in healing received.

Alternative #1 and Standard are easy to change over from where as Alternative #2 is hard to transition from to the Standard setup which is deemed the most optimal once you get used to things such as boss mechanics enough. As not to be suffering from the drawbacks as much.


### **Gems**

Gems grant bonus damage and cooldown reduction to specific skills. You can only equip 11 of these Gems at a time so it is recommended that you prioritize the Gems for your most important skills.

For encounters where extra stagger is very important you can opt to use :rune[Overwhelm,4] or 1 tier lower for :skill[Punishing Strike] instead of :rune[Galewind,3] same case for availability to make the best use of higher runes for a more optimal setup whilst building our rune deck out.

### **Gear Skill Tree and Tripods**

Once you enter Tier 3 there will be gear that starts dropping to enhance your abilities through the tripods. Tripods levels go up to a maximum of 5 (+4 on gear) and each level can enhance the effect of the tripod for example, damage, cooldown, buff intensity and mana cost.

### **Card Sets**

Cards are an endgame system to maximize your characters potential. Below are some of the recommended sets/setups for this class.
You have a total of 6 card slots available and can create several combinations until you start working on Awakening piece sets and reach their minimum requirements.

- Beginner Card Sets
- :cardset[Field Boss II] 4 Set. This will give you +8.00% Max Health.
- :cardset[Romanticist] 2 Set. Lowers your Movement Skill Cooldown by -10%.

Or

- :cardset[Forest of Giants] 3 Set. This increases the Effectiveness of your recovery items by +15%. (Best Value non-awakening card set).
- :cardset[We'll Meet Again] 3 Set. This will give you -12% Damage taken while below 50% max Health. And at 9-Awakening an additional -18% Damage taken while below 50%.

You can also combine the Forest of Giants 3 Set with a Field Boss 2 Set for the +4.00% Max Health boost instead or Romanticist 2 Set for Cooldown reduction on your dodge.

These sets are obtainable early on in the game and give you a slightly better time playing as you learn and get better and until something better becomes available as the ones mentioned below.

- Budget Card Set
- :cardset[Lostwind Cliff] 6 set (12-piece Awakening) This will give you Crit rate +7.00%.

The Lostwind Cliff card set gives you a nice Crit bonus at a more acceptable rate of awakening, leveling this up beyond 12-piece Awakening doesn't have enough investment value. It might take you a while to get it however the Seria and Solas cards are to a degree farm-able instead of being purely luck dependent. (Note: Requires full 6 piece set to be equipped).

- Optimal Damage Card Set
-:cardset[Light of Salvation] 6 Set(12-piece Awakening) Converts your damage type to Holy.
-Light of Salvation 6 Set(18-piece Awakening) Holy Damage +7.00%
-Light of Salvation 6 Set(30-piece Awakening) Holy Damage +8.00%

This card set will increase your raw damage output by a total of 15.00%, a added bonus to that is the +30.00% Dark Damage Reduction it gives.
The Light of Salvation card set is the best damaging card set for all DPS characters in the game but will take very long to complete to a 30-piece Awakening stage. This is a super-long-term goal. (Note: Requires full 6 piece set to be equipped).


### **Summary**

- The :engraving[Igniter] Sorceress deals heavy burst damage by building up her identity gauge.
- Her Identity skill :idskill[Arcane Rupture] is an extremely powerful buff that scales off of Specialization. This buff grants additional damage, increased Crit Rate, increased Crit Damage, and reduces Active Cooldowns by 50% upon activation. It also increases cast speed, part break (weak point for Fire abilities), and stagger damage (for Lightning Abilities).
- You have to build your identity gauge up, align it with your support's buffs, and then position yourself carefully with a boss opening to cast all of your main damage skills and hope that the boss doesn't move.
- However good you get, there is always randomness involved when unleashing your burst, you will miss it, it will happen, its fine.
- Your rotation is largely the same when you're building up gauge, but don't cast :skill[Doomsday] if you almost have 100% :idskill[Arcane Rupture]] ready to go, or you will be waiting for it to come off cooldown before you can commit to activating your buff.
- :idskill[Blink] is good mobility from your identity. However, since it consumes a portion of your identity gauge which is your main damage source in this build, you should only use it in life-or-death situations such as wipe mechanics that have to be followed.

Sorceress - Igniter Raid Build

### **The Sorceress**

The Sorceress is one of the two mage classes available in Lost Ark right now for NA/EU. She specializes in dealing ranged magic damage with the elements of fire, lightning and ice. This is a great starting class for new players as she deals high damage at all stages of progression, can comfortably do solo content on hard and fits well in most group compositions.

If you like to drop giant meteors, shoot big fireballs, pierce your enemies with a hail of ice and strike them with thunder and lightning then this class is for you.

She can feel especially strong early into the leveling phases with her extensive AoE kit within your first hours of gameplay.

During the leveling process, focus on simply equipping the highest Item Level gear while prioritizing **Crit** and **Specialization** Combat Stats to increase your damage and clear speed and make your Identity Ability :idskill[Arcane Rupture] stronger. To level faster, focus on doing Main Story Quest with some exceptions. However it is advised for your first character to do most if not all side-quests for Skill points and Map progression for later.

If you are comfortable it is also highly advisable to do all instances on Hard mode when this selection is available to increase your chances of slight little power bumps to make the leveling experience even smoother.




### **Skill Leveling Progression**

- Level 14: Upgrade :skill[Seraphic Hail] to (Level 7)  :tripod[Seraphic Hail, Quick Prep] :tripod[Seraphic Hail, Additional Explosion]. This is your lowest cooldown skill for clearing out mobs.
- Level 18: Upgrade :skill[Punishing Strike] to (Level 7) :tripod[Punishing Strike, Wide-Angle Attack] :tripod[Punishing Strike, Electric Discharge]. Big damage skill to help with mobs and bosses. 
- Level 24: Upgrade :skill[Punishing Strike] to (Level 10) :tripod[Punishing Strike, Magick Amplification] to do more damage especially during :idskill[Arcane Rupture]. 
- Level 28: Upgrade :skill[Frost's Call] to (Level 7) :tripod[Frost's Call, Enlightenment] :tripod[Frost's Call, Unstable Rule]. This AoE skill helps build Identity gauge. 
- Level 32: Upgrade :skill[Explosion] to (Level 7) :tripod[Explosion, Law of the Jungle] :tripod[Explosion, Weak Point Detection]. For clearing mobs and boss damage. Use as a filler to kill mobs if nothing else is available. 
- Level 38: Upgrade :skill[Explosion] to (Level 10) :tripod[Explosion, Magick Amplification] to do more damage especially during :idskill[Arcane Rupture]. 
- Level 42: Upgrade :skill[Elegian's Touch] to (Level 7) :tripod[Elegian's Touch, Quick Prep] :tripod[Elegian's Touch, Swift Footwork]. For movement speed while leveling.
- Level 48: Upgrade :skill[Frost's Call] (Level 10) :tripod[Frost's Call, Enhanced Strike] maxed out for more damage.

Instead of using :skill[Elegian's Touch] for movement speed you can opt to use :skill[Reverse Gravity], :tripod[Reverse Gravity, Wide-Angle Attack], :tripod[Reverse Gravity, Electric Attack Area] for better mob clear and damage instead.

At whichever point you have 4 points to spare upgrade :skill[Blaze] to 4 for the debuff with the :tripod[Blaze, Damage Amplification] tripod.

### **Level 50**

Follow the Main Story Quest (MSQ) to Vern city until Beatrice notifies you to visit her in Trixion. Complete the questline she gives you to receive your first Awakening Ability :skill[Enviska's Might] and your final ability :skill[Doomsday]. Check your mailbox and consume the items to unlock the skills.

### **Additional Info**

Extra skill points during leveling may be invested into any low cooldown skills for faster clear speed. Make sure to reallocate those points into the main Skills as you follow the guide above.

### **Gameplay**

- The Sorceress has acces to a wide array of great AoE abilities. Due to higher cooldowns on some you want to drag enemies into groups to kill them all at once. Any choice of ability combo depending on melee or ranged can be used to achieve this.
- :skill[Punishing Strike] and :skill[Explosion] have long cast times and no Push Immunity, so position yourself where you won't be interrupted before casting. Using :idskill[Arcane Rupture] helps by halving cast times of all abilities, the activation of :idskill[Arcane Rupture] also gives Push Immunity.
- :skill[Elegian's Touch] is purely used for movement speed. Deactivate it before fights as it drains your mana too much.
- For boss fights start with :skill[Blaze] for the debuff, then :idskill[Arcane Rupture] into :skill[Explosion] into :skill[Punishing Strike], if you do not have your meter available build up your Identity gauge with the other abilities first.

- Mount up as much as possible as the Sorceress has no mobility skills to help her traverse maps faster.
- Use :idskill[Arcane Rupture] regularly when your Identity Gauge is at 30% or higher to increase casting and clearing speeds.

Sorceress - Leveling Guide

### **Intro**

Sorceress is a mage with a huge range, a lot of **AOE** and **CC**. It's a really good class to begin with in PvP.                                            
As a squishy character without **T2 SA**, you are vunerable without your space bar and teleport (identity skill).                                                        
This class requieres a good positioning to enjoy her enormous burst damage. 

### **Glossary**

- SA = Super armor = immunity
- T1 SA= Stagger(stiffness effect) immunity
- T2 SA= Push(knock) immunity
- T3 SA= Hard cc immunity 
- CC= Crowd control
- AOE= Area of effect, a skill which affects an area
- HP= Health Points
- CD= Cooldown
- FOV = Field of view

### **Skills**

- :skill[Seraphic Hail] : is an **AOE** defensive skill which zones (knock up) your opponents and prevents them from advancing
- :skill[Reverse Gravity] : is your main **AOE** defensive skill which knocks up/down and allows you to reposition yourself or start a combo. 
- :skill[Lightning Vortex] : inflicts electrocution (hard **CC**). This versatile skill is used to engage and peel your mates.
- :skill[Frost's Call] : is a good zoning skill and slows in **AOE**
- :skill[Squall] :  inflicts electrocution (hard **CC**). This short range skill is often used to counter engage.
- :skill[Esoteric Reaction] : is a good damaging skill and follow up after a **CC**. It inflicts a knock down and can be used to zone and pressure the opposite team.  
- :skill[Inferno] : is a great zoning skill which knock up in **AOE**
- :skill[Punishing Strike] : is your best damaging skill

To get a more defensive build, you can replace :skill[Squall] or :skill[Esoteric Reaction] by :skill[Ice Shower] (:tripod[Ice Shower, Chill]|:tripod[Ice Shower, Tenacity]|:tripod[Ice Shower, Frost Fragment]) a **T2 SA** which slows and inflicts a freeze (hard **CC**).
### **Identity**

- Left one (Arcana Rupture) : is a protected (**T2 SA**) offensive buff. It gives you a casting speed buff at 30% of the gauge with an additional attack buff if used at 100%.
- Right one (Blink/Teleport) : is a protected (**T2 SA**) mobility skill which uses 30% of the gauge. Charging your identity gauge to 100% allows you to use this skill 3 times in row.                   
With this build, charging your gauge to use Blink is a good choice, it will give you enough mobility to be hardly catchable while Arcana Rupture should be used if you need to increase your burst (but only the 30% buff, the other one isn't worth it)                           



### **Awakening**
- :skill[Enviska's Might] : is the most used one, it forms a dome which attracts your opponents then explodes to deal a lot of damage. It's really effective if you are surrounded by opponents **CC** or without mobility skills.        
Be careful, while using it you won't be able to move or cancel it and the animation time is long, if you are low in HP and try to use it you might die and lose your ultimate.

### **Gameplay**
Using your identity skills properly will make the difference.
- Start of the game :
Go to the top of the map and try to find an engage with :skill[Frost's Call] or :skill[Lightning Vortex].
- Be patient and take your time to pressure your opponents, they will end up by making a mistake and taking one of your **AOE**. :skill[Inferno] with his long range and fast animation is good to do that.
- Look for a good positioning by using the **FOV** at your advantage to save your **HP**, peel for your mates with your **AOE** and zone your opponents. 
- Staying near the top of the map will give you less options to dodge but a better **FOV**, it will be easier to anticipate an engage.
- To reposition yourself and retreat, use your identity skill(Teleport). Try to keep your spacebar (dash) when you want to dodge a spell.
- When your identity gauge is charged you can look for risky plays by playing close range and using :skill[Squall] to initiate a combo. 
- :skill[Punishing Strike] is your best damaging skill, use it after an hard **CC** like :skill[Lightning Vortex] and :skill[Squall] or on a knocked opponent without his roll.
- You will probably get focused, be ready to use your defensive skills, especially :skill[Reverse Gravity] which is really good against melee classes .

### **Summary**

- A good range and damage with a lot of **AOE** and **CC**.
- A good mobility thanks to your identity skill.
- Save your **HP** as much as you can by playing with your team and keeping a good **FOV**
- Your role is to zone the ennemy team as much as you can and find opportunities to use your quick bursting combos.

1v1 / 3v3 Goddess Of Conductivity.

Don't skill Inferno against meele opponents. It's a slow and vulnerable animation I only use it against classes like sharpshooter or other sorcs. Also in general you do not want to knock your opponents down too much if you do not have identity meter. Sorc combo requires opponents to be standing and knocking down an opponent with inferno gives them opportunity to roll in and catch you this is why Inferno is bad in 1v1. It's a great peeling tool in 3v3 and can do good damage if it hits multiple targets and also be used to re-catch/re-knock opponents who used roll. But in 1v1 it's a high risk low reward skill and doesn't even have paralysis/hard stiffness immunity. ("stagger" immunity)
 You can use the tripod "wide-angle" on Ice Shower against opponents with low knock-up/push skills like gunslinger. If you play against classes like striker or wardancer can you hide in your 2 lightning vortex if everything else is on cooldown.  Since you also have 2 lightning vortex you can try to raw-catch with them more often. 
This build allows for a superior skill rotation. Don't spam them all at once, rotate them so you have little to no windows to get attacked. 
You run 2 hard cc. Squall and Ice shower. Squall can be used agressively and true combos into awakening. Ice shower should be used defensively. Over-heat on lightning Vortex causes the duration to shorten by 1 second (from 3 to 2) but if you are fast enough it still true-combos into esoteric reaction and punishing strike.  
In general sorc is played around safety. You are squishy and can't run away without identity. Don't get yourself in bad situations by fear-casting (throwing spells at opponents even though they are out of range), spamming spells in retaliation or getting baited too much. 
In general your gameplan revolves around not getting catched. 
Your opener skill will very often be frost calling. Frost calling true combos into squall (if you are close enough) and lightning vortex.

140 ranked matches. 60% winrate and still glimbing. I can easily say that this build are byfar superior to anyother of the sorcs builds when it comes to ranked pvp's current state.

This is a fun build for the Sorceress. Build are based on having DOTS all the time on the enemy and having AoE fire fields to keep pressure off teammates or yourself.
