Demonic Impulse Shadowhunter is one of the transformation classes which means that it focuses on farming identity gauge called :idskill[Shadowburst Meter]. You charge it with skills while you are in your normal/human form. When you fully charge it you can :idskill[Demonize]. This will transform you into demon form and unlocks 6 new Demon skills. Demon skills are your main damage dealing skills and this whole build is focused around filling up the identity gauge so you can have a very high uptime of Demon Form.

### Skill Progression
- At 268 skill points add :tripod[Demon's Grip, Encroaching Power] to :skill[Demon's Grip]
- At 284 skill points add :tripod[Rising Claw, Giant Hand] to :skill[Rising Claw]
- At 296 skill points remove :tripod[Rising Claw, Giant Hand] from :skill[Rising Claw] and add :tripod[Demon's Grip, Stretching Hand] to :skill[Demon's Grip]
- At 312 skill points add :tripod[Rising Claw, Giant Hand] to :skill[Rising Claw]
- At 328 skill points add :tripod[Demonic Slash, Nimble Movement] to :skill[Demonic Slash] 
- At 340 skill points remove :tripod[Rising Claw, Giant Hand] from :skill[Rising Claw] and add :tripod[Demonic Slash, Chain Charge] to :skill[Demonic Slash]
- At 356 skill points add :tripod[Rising Claw, Giant Hand] to :skill[Rising Claw]
- At 368 skill points you are going for level 11 skills. Priority on :skill[Demon Vision] and :skill[Decimate]
- At 368+ skill points keep going for other level 11 and level 12 skills as you unlock more skill points

### Combat Stats
To fully utilize your demonic form and have high uptime, Demonic Impulse Shadowhunter's focus on full **Specialization** and **Crit** as a secondary stat on necklace. High specialization will help you have higher uptime in demon form, increase damage of demon skills and generate identity gauge faster.

Demonic Impulse Shadowhunter focuses on identity meter farm which means that the only important rune on your Normal skills will be :rune[Wealth, 4]. Other runes are added on your demonic skills as demon form will be your main damage

### Engravings
Priority Engravings
- :engraving[Demonic Impulse] removes Composure debuff which prevents Shadowburst meter gain for 30 seconds after exiting demon form and add 30% crit rate while in demon form.
- :engraving[Adrenaline] provides additional Crit and Attack power
- :engraving[Keen Blunt Weapon] increases your crit damage and requires a decent amount of crit, which you can very easy get with :engraving[Adrenaline] and :engraving[Demonic Impulse]

Add-on End game engravings
- :engraving[Grudge] increases damage dealt while also increases damage received. Best damage dealing engraving out there to add in end game
- :engraving[Raid Captain] turns percentage of movement speed into damage
- :engraving[Cursed Doll] provides with a significant attack power boost at the cost of 25% healing penalty
 
### Gems
The beauty of Shadowhunter is that she does not require you to have 11 gems. You only need 2 gems, one attack and one cooldown gem as your main damage dealing skills will be in demon form, and since demon form is part of your identity, you can only have 2 gems for all identity skills.

- For attack gem you will go for damage increase on :idskill[Demonize]
- For cooldown gem you will go for cooldown reduction on :idskill[Demonize]

### Gameplay and Rotation
Gameplay and rotation for Shadowhunter is very simple and easy to achieve. Your main goal is identity gauge farm to transform into a demon to then unleash damage.
1. Use :skill[Demonic Slash] to get close to the boss, or dodge away from big AOEs if needed 
2. :skill[Rising Claw] or :skill[Death Claw] to counter the boss when possible
3. Use all your normal skill to farm Shadowburst Meter so you can transform into a demon form and nuke the boss with your big damage. The rotation of these normal skills does not matter as long as you are hitting them all on the boss and using them on cooldown.
4. Before going into demon form use :skill[Howl] to gain 12% damage increase on boss.
5. Once in Demon Form start with :skill[Leaping Blow] and :skill[Blood Massacre] followed by whatever else you want. Rotation here does not matter as all skills have fairly low cooldown and you want to spam them as soon as they are available.
6. Once your demon form ends, on the first rotation use your awakening skill :skill[Gate of Eruption] which will deal damage and refill your shadowburst meter instantly so you can transform into demon and deal massive damage in very short amount of time
7. Once that demon form ends, all your normal skills are off cooldown, so use all of them and if you have high Specialization, then only one rotation of normal skills will refill your meter full and you can quickly go into demon form again.
8. Rinse and repeat identity farm with normal skills into demon form and big damage

Shadowhunter - Demonic Impulse Raid Build

### Intro
Shadowhunter is one of the classes that strongly rely on their identity and having a high uptime means more damage. In chaos dungeons and cubes like every other class you rely on heavy AOE damage and low cooldown to clear all the mobs fast and not waste too much time clearing easy content. The whole build is made around AOE skills with low cooldown. In terms of difficulty both Chaos Dungeons and Cube are pretty easy to complete.

### Skill Progression
- At 268 skill points add :tripod[Demonic Clone, Fist of Destruction] on :skill[Demonic Clone]
- At 296 skill points add :tripod[Demonic Clone, Enh. Release Encroachment] on :skill[Demonic Clone]
- At 312 skill points add :tripod[Demonic Slash, Nimble Movement] on :skill[Demonic Slash]
- At 328 skill points add :tripod[Sharpened Cut, Persistent Bleeding] on :skill[Sharpened Cut]
- At 328+ skill points start getting :skill[Howl] and :skill[Decimate] to level 11, while adding other skills as you get more skill points

### Build Breakdown
- :skill[Howl] has highest AoE range and damage so using it on cooldown after grouping all the mobs is the play
- :skill[Decimate] helps with clearing Elite mobs and Bosses with decent AoE damage
- :skill[Thrust Impact] helps with clearing Elite mobs and Bosses
- :skill[Demonic Clone] is used to farm identity meter while doing decent AoE damage
- :skill[Cruel Cutter] is great for clearing large groups of mobs in a straight line
- :skill[Demon's Grip] works the same as :skill[Cruel Cutter]. Combine them together for even more damage
- :skill[Sharpened Cut] basic mobility skill to avoid getting stuck and kiting mobs
- :skill[Demonic Slash] movement ability to help you get out of harms way
- :skill[Gate of Eruption] is the preferred Awakening skill

### Combat Stats
Shadowhunter relies on identity and transforming into a demon to gain new set of skills. Damage on these new skills is buffed with high **Specialization** so running it as a main stat is a must, while adding **Crit** as a secondary stat on necklace.

### Runes
Two of the most important runes that will speed up clearing the mobs are :rune[Bleed, 4] and :rune[Galewind, 3]. Other runes are not as important and you can honestly put whatever else you have available.

- :rune[Bleed, 4] on :skill[Cruel Cutter] and :skill[Demon's Grip]
- :rune[Galewind, 3] on :skill[Demonic Clone], :skill[Thrust Impact], :skill[Decimate] and :skill[Howl]

### Gameplay and Rotation
As with every other class the main idea is to group up all the mobs and burst them with 1 or 2 skills that deal big AoE damage. The rotation doesn't need to be perfect and you can use everything as it comes off the cooldown.
1. If you are not playing :engraving[Perfect Suppression] and instead playing :engraving[Demonic Impulse] setup, use :idskill[Demonize] to transform into Demonic form and use everything as it comes off cooldown.
2. When :idskill[Demonize] is unavailable always start of with grouping up mobs and using :skill[Howl]
3. Lure up all the mobs into a straight line and combo them with :skill[Cruel Cutter] and :skill[Demon's Grip]
4. Use :skill[Thrust Impact] and :skill[Decimate] to kill Elite mobs which are going to drop orbs that refresh you cooldowns.
5. Use :skill[Demonic Clone] as a filler skill to farm identity meter
6. Use :skill[Gate of Eruption] on the boss in stage 2 which will refill your identity meter for stage 3 where you transform and clear mobs with ease

### Summary
- Transform whenever your identity meter is full
- Always group up mobs for easy burst with :skill[Howl]
- Lure mobs in straight line to get most benefit of using :rune[Bleed, 4] on :skill[Cruel Cutter]
- Use filler skills when everything is on cooldown
- Don't be afraid to use your Awakening, :skill[Gate of Eruption], whenever you feel the need for it

Overall both Chaos Dungeon and Cube are very easy to clear, and even with minimum skill points you will have no issues in dealing with mobs and having fast and efficient clears.

### **Intro**

- This build is a basic Demonic Impulse for all you shadowhunter newbies that need guidance. I've seen too many not run this stuff and the amount of value you're losing out on in her kit is alot.

### **Abilities**

- :skill[Thrust Impact] Shadowburst meter increase Very good I like to use this with :skill[Sharpened Cut] afterwards as thrust impact pushes you back and sharpened cut alows you to instantly go back in.
- :skill[Sharpened Cut] Pretty much for the damage and shadowburst meter it gives. Alot of people go :skill[Demonic Slash] which is perfectly fine if you want to swap them just go excellent Mobility for skillpoint use.
- :skill[Demonic Clone] more shadowburst good aoe mob clearing very pog
- :skill[Rising Claw] Your counter ability for when the bosses turn blue, some decent aoe
- :skill[Demon Vision] Big laser, Big Damage, Big shadowburst meter gain, Big aoe 
- :skill[Demon's Grip] Just for shadowburst meter gain nothing too special here
- :skill[Howel] Long ability cooldown try to use when bosses stunned so you can buff your teams damage by 12% or at the beginning after :skill[Demonic Clone] so it comes up faster. The ability also fears nearby mobs in a aoe circle which is nice.
- :skill[Decimate] Claw scratch for shadowburst form, damage big yes.

Awakening Ability
- use :skill[Gate of Eruption] Tons of aoe damage aswell as can fully charge the shadowburst meter. Also has extremely high stagger damage for those pesky stagger checks.

### **Runes**
Galewind and quick recharge are your goto runes for most of your abilities for that casting speed and cooldown reduc

### **Stats**
You primarily want to focus Specialization and Crit

1. Specialization  Crit Necklace
2. Specialization  on earrings and rings
3. Speciliation helps give your form faster, do more damage in form, and keep form up longer.
4. Crit gives you more critchance allowing you to have a higher chance at critting for your big hitting abilities

### **Engravings**
For the two slots on your profile use :engraving[Demonic Impulse] in both slots. Yes you can put the same engraving twice. Try it!
:engraving[Demonic Impulse] Allows you to not have a 30s cooldown everytime you leave demon form, aswell as give you more critchance in demon form for that big damage.

Now for your accessories these are your primary focus

- :engraving[Grudge] **DO NOT USE AT LEVEL 1** as you will take 20% increased damage only for 4% damage **not worth.** Only when you're able to get +2 nodes in your accessories & max stone so you can get Grudge level 3. Two seems okay at the beginning from what i've seen and tried
- :engraving[Cursed Doll] Pretty much the same as grudge, try not to use level 1 as it reduces your healing by 25% for only a 3% damage increase. But once its level 3 you end up gaining a healing bonus. Nice.
- :engraving[Adrenaline] A great alternative to grudge if you dont like the high risk high reward playstyle, Gives you atk power and more critrate for whenever you use abilities and stacks.

Engravings worth noting (good second non main engravings)

- :engraving[Ambush Master]  If you can get it on the side it will be a nice little boost as it gives you back attack damage
- :engraving[All-Out Attack] Will give you more damage and faster cast speed on :skill[Blood Massacre] :skill[Gate of Eruption] and alot of your normal abilities which can be nice

**Demonic Slash** is your generic gap closer skill.
**Demon Vision** and **Howl** are your two highest Shadowburst Meter generators. Howl also debuffs the target with 12% increased damage for a short duration.
**Thrust Impact,** **Demonic Clone**, **Demon's Grip**, and **Decimate** all generate Shadowburst Meter.
**Demon Vision**, **Demonic Clone**, and **Thrust Impact** have decent Stagger.
**Rising Claw** is your Counter skill.

In Demon form, all skills essentially become damage dealers with Blood Massacre being your biggest nuke. Most Demon form skills cause high Stagger and can be spammed.
In Demon form, Ruining Rush and Leaping Blow can serve as gap closers.
In Demon form, Death Claw is your Counter skill.

**Gate of Eruption** is your preferred Awakening Skill taken for the high Shadowburst Meter gain. The downside is that it does damage over multiple hits. If the target moves out of the zone of Gate of Eruption, you won't generate as much Shadowburst Meter.
