Basic Demonic Impulse Guide

Intro

• This build is a basic Demonic Impulse for all you shadowhunter newbies that need guidance. I've seen too many not run this stuff and the amount of value you're losing out on in her kit is alot.

Abilities

• Thrust Impact Shadowburst meter increase Very good I like to use this with Sharpened Cut afterwards as thrust impact pushes you back and sharpened cut alows you to instantly go back in.
• Sharpened Cut Pretty much for the damage and shadowburst meter it gives. Alot of people go Demonic Slash which is perfectly fine if you want to swap them just go excellent Mobility for skillpoint use.
• Demonic Clone more shadowburst good aoe mob clearing very pog
• Rising Claw Your counter ability for when the bosses turn blue, some decent aoe
• Demon Vision Big laser, Big Damage, Big shadowburst meter gain, Big aoe
• Demon's Grip Just for shadowburst meter gain nothing too special here
• Howel Long ability cooldown try to use when bosses stunned so you can buff your teams damage by 12% or at the beginning after Demonic Clone so it comes up faster. The ability also fears nearby mobs in a aoe circle which is nice.
• Decimate Claw scratch for shadowburst form, damage big yes.

Awakening Ability

• use Gate of Eruption Tons of aoe damage aswell as can fully charge the shadowburst meter. Also has extremely high stagger damage for those pesky stagger checks.

Runes

Galewind and quick recharge are your goto runes for most of your abilities for that casting speed and cooldown reduc

Stats

You primarily want to focus Specialization and Crit

1. Specialization Crit Necklace
2. Specialization on earrings and rings
3. Speciliation helps give your form faster, do more damage in form, and keep form up longer.
4. Crit gives you more critchance allowing you to have a higher chance at critting for your big hitting abilities

Engravings

For the two slots on your profile use Demonic Impulse in both slots. Yes you can put the same engraving twice. Try it! Demonic Impulse Allows you to not have a 30s cooldown everytime you leave demon form, aswell as give you more critchance in demon form for that big damage.

Now for your accessories these are your primary focus

• Grudge DO NOT USE AT LEVEL 1 as you will take 20% increased damage only for 4% damage not worth. Only when you're able to get +2 nodes in your accessories & max stone so you can get Grudge level 3. Two seems okay at the beginning from what i've seen and tried
• Cursed Doll Pretty much the same as grudge, try not to use level 1 as it reduces your healing by 25% for only a 3% damage increase. But once its level 3 you end up gaining a healing bonus. Nice.
• Adrenaline A great alternative to grudge if you dont like the high risk high reward playstyle, Gives you atk power and more critrate for whenever you use abilities and stacks.

Engravings worth noting (good second non main engravings)

• Ambush Master If you can get it on the side it will be a nice little boost as it gives you back attack damage
• All-Out Attack Will give you more damage and faster cast speed on Blood Massacre Gate of Eruption and alot of your normal abilities which can be nice
