Don't skill Inferno against meele opponents. It's a slow and vulnerable animation I only use it against classes like sharpshooter or other sorcs. Also in general you do not want to knock your opponents down too much if you do not have identity meter. Sorc combo requires opponents to be standing and knocking down an opponent with inferno gives them opportunity to roll in and catch you this is why Inferno is bad in 1v1. It's a great peeling tool in 3v3 and can do good damage if it hits multiple targets and also be used to re-catch/re-knock opponents who used roll. But in 1v1 it's a high risk low reward skill and doesn't even have paralysis/hard stiffness immunity. ("stagger" immunity)
 You can use the tripod "wide-angle" on Ice Shower against opponents with low knock-up/push skills like gunslinger. If you play against classes like striker or wardancer can you hide in your 2 lightning vortex if everything else is on cooldown.  Since you also have 2 lightning vortex you can try to raw-catch with them more often. 
This build allows for a superior skill rotation. Don't spam them all at once, rotate them so you have little to no windows to get attacked. 
You run 2 hard cc. Squall and Ice shower. Squall can be used agressively and true combos into awakening. Ice shower should be used defensively. Over-heat on lightning Vortex causes the duration to shorten by 1 second (from 3 to 2) but if you are fast enough it still true-combos into esoteric reaction and punishing strike.  
In general sorc is played around safety. You are squishy and can't run away without identity. Don't get yourself in bad situations by fear-casting (throwing spells at opponents even though they are out of range), spamming spells in retaliation or getting baited too much. 
In general your gameplan revolves around not getting catched. 
Your opener skill will very often be frost calling. Frost calling true combos into squall (if you are close enough) and lightning vortex.

1v1 PvP - the stability sorc deserves

### **Intro**

The Destroyer Chaos Dungeon/Cube build that makes you BOP right through there pancake smashing hordes of enemies. With his giant hammer the Destroyer makes use of cores to buff shield when using Gravity Release (purple) skills, taking very little damage himself as he simultaneously shields himself based on cores used. The Destroyer skills are very slow so it is recommended to always have :engraving[Super Charge] at level 3 before anything else.

### **Skill Progression**

- At 268 Skill Points upgrade :skill[Endure Pain] to level 7 and add :tripod[Endure Pain, Anti-Gravity].
- At 284 Skill Points upgrade :skill[Gravity Impact] to level 7 and add :tripod[Gravity Impact, Tough Mind].
- At 312 Skill Points upgrade :skill[Gravity Impact] to level 10 and add :tripod[Gravity Impact, Will Enhancement].
- At 328 Skill Points upgrade :skill[Jumping Smash] to level 7 and add :tripod[Jumping Smash, Armor Destruction].

- :skill[Gravity Impact] is your combo multi-hit skill that generates 2 cores and keeps foes in place at level 10.

- :skill[Earth Eater] is your primary Gravity Release Elite/Trash clearing skill it hits a absolutely insanely large area 1 hit killing most if not all Elites in the process.

- :skill[Perfect Swing] is a quick Gravity Release filler skill that also sends out a wave of damage and can do destructive damage with the :rune[Bleed, 3] proc on the energy wave.
- :skill[Seismic Hammer] is your second primary Gravity Release skill that does massive destructive AoE damage.
- :skill[Big Bang] is your Awakening skill that when fully charged will delete everything it hits.
- :idskill[Hypergravity] is your identity gauge skill that makes your auto attacks do very high damage and gives a 60% max HP shield with Push/Debuff Immunity.

### **Gameplay**

For ease of use during Chaos Dungeon and Cube content:

- When starting stage 1 run to a wall and look towards the center of the room spamming :skill[Heavy Crush] combined with :skill[Gravity Impact] to generate 3 cores and release with :skill[Earth Eater] and then follow with the remaining Gravity Release skills repeating the process until stage 2.
- At stage 2 gather up the mobs and Elites generate 3 orbs with either :skill[Endure Pain] or :skill[Heavy Crush] with :skill[Jumping Smash] or :skill[Gravity Impact] then aim your :skill[Earth Eater] hitting all Elites at once to instantly clear them off your screen. Use your :skill[Jumping Smash] to get around for mobility where desired. You can also use your :skill[Seismic Hammer] very effectively in this stage.
- For killing the first group of Elites and/or the Boss of stage 2 feel free to use your :skill[Big Bang] to easily clear them out as you will get your cooldowns back from killing Elites and/or the Boss.
- At stage 3 when you have the cooldown buff from the Rift Crystals you can permanently spam :skill[Gravity Impact] as long as it hits a few enemies to trigger the instant reset.
- Make sure to utilize your identity gauge properly with 3 cores on Gravity Release skills for maximum damage and survivability increase.

### **Stats**

Use the stats that are relevant to your Class Engraving and Tier relevant gear.

### **Runes**

The runes selected enhance the natural ability of the skills and help activate them faster and do extra damage with :rune[Bleed, 4], use the highest available for the ones selected in the skill planner, this does not have to be perfect but the better they are the easier it makes things.

### **Summary**

- The Destroyer is a very tanky hammer slamming class that easily slams through the Chaos dungeon taking very little damage due to the identy gauge self-shielding.
- Make sure to use 3 cores for maximum damage output and shielding to use less potions.
- Cooldown reduction buffs are gained from killing Elites, Bosses and destroying Rift Crystals.
-Utilize your :skill[Big Bang] to easily kill Elites and Bosses to regain the cooldown reduction for it and other abilities.

Destroyer - Chaos Dungeon/Cube Build

### **Intro**

The "Bonk" Destroyer Raid build guide, whacking your enemies and absolutely destroying stagger checks and armor destroying with your weak point is what you do best! Though he is super dependent on :engraving[Super Charge] at level 3, with it he will be super satisfying to literally pancake smash every enemy you run into. You will constantly be in the front of the boss whilst heavily shielding yourself waving your hammer in the bosses face.

### **Skill Point Progression**

- At 268 Skill Points upgrade :skill[Jumping Smash] to level 7 and add :tripod[Jumping Smash, Armor Destruction].
- At 284 Skill Points upgrade :skill[Dreadnaught] to level 7 and add :tripod[Dreadnaught, Toughened Body].
- At 312 Skill Points upgrade :skill[Jumping Smash] to level 10 and add :tripod[Jumping Smash, Smash].

- You can also take :skill[Full Swing] :tripod[Full Swing, Quick Prep] for lower cooldown instead of a slightly faster charge time. In addition to this you can put in a :rune[Overwhelm, 3] rune for heavy stagger checks instead of :rune[Galewind, 3] or :rune[Quick Recharge, 3].

- :skill[Perfect Swing] is a core release skill that does your highest damage with the slowest charge up.
- :skill[Seismic Hammer] is a core release skill that has no charge up and does massive stagger/weak point damage and uses a Push Immunity tripod.
- :skill[Big Bang] is the Awakening that does the most damage also offering damage resistance whilst charging it up.

### **Gameplay**

- You will focus on building 3 Cores to enhance using Gravity Release skills. Gravity Release skills deal the most damage when consuming 3 Cores also adding a shield per Core consumed. You need to always be aware of your and the bosses position before using your Gravity Release skills to judge whether you can soak the incoming damage with the shield and hit it within the charge time and skill range.
- You can use :idskill[Hypergravity] when you are certain the boss will stay in place for the full or most of the duration as not to miss any of the attacks. There is no reason to use the active ability  because it does very little damage so its best to just hold your attack button for maximum damage. During :idskill[Hypergravity] you gain a 60% max HP shield, Push Imminuty and Debuff Immunity.
- You can cancel the animation of :skill[Seismic Hammer] with :skill[Spacebar].
- If possible you want to use :skill[Endure Pain] to give yourself Push Immunity to easier land :skill[Perfect Swing] and :skill[Full Swing].
- A special note is that you can use :skill[Endure Pain] with the :tripod[Endure Pain, Hidden Pain] to have a brief near God-mode state for encounters where this might be valuable.

### **Stats**

:engraving[Rage Hammer] Destroyers focus on Crit with a balance of Swiftness and Specialization in higher Tier 3. There are 3 setup choices for stat distribution..

- The balanced setup aims for 1000+ Crit 500 Swiftness and 500 Specialization in that order of importance.
- The comfort setup aims for 1300+ Crit and 700 Swiftness.
- The big numbers setup goes 50/50 on Crit and Specialization.

Super end-game you can run a 1500/500/500 setup to get the best of all worlds or perhaps even a 1000/1000/500 setup for higher damage hits instead of Crit consistency. 

### **Engravings**

Early engravings are vastly different then later ones making :engraving[Super Charge] the most important level 3 engraving to focus on early on. Below are the recommended engravings for the Destroyer.

**Starter Engravings**

- :engraving[Super Charge] is the most important engraving for 3 of your Gravity Release skills :skill[Earth Eater], :skill[Full Swing] and :skill[Perfect Swing]. Without this engraving the class overall feels super sluggish.
- :engraving[Rage Hammer] gives a good amount of Crit Rate and crit Damage per Core consumed when using Gravity release skills.
- :engraving[Barricade] will increase all your Gravity release skills damage as you get a shield based on the number of Cores consumed for 3 seconds after using the skill.

**Endgame/Advanced Engravings**

- :engraving[Master brawler] is good for the Destroyer as the majority of the skills are Head Attack skills.
- :engraving[Spirit Absorption] can be used for comfort as it gives a significant amount of Attack/Movement Speed at Level 3.
- :engraving[Grudge]* increases your damage the most but will make you take more damage with how tanky the Destroyer is during Gravity release skills its not as tough to have as other classes.
- :engraving[Cursed Doll]* gives a good amount of Attack Power but lowers your healing received from all sources by 25%. This engraving would be a 5th engraving choice.

(*) These engravings should only be used at level 3.

Prioritize Top to bottom Engravings first. Note that both these setups are optimal just a change in preference.

For the Argos set you want to use the Preordained Diligence set.

At 1445 item level you want to keep using 2 pieces of Argos Chest and Pants. However if you did 2 Normal Valtan runs before progressing to Hard Valtan you could replace these 2 pieces with the Beast Set Chest and Pants.
The Relic pieces you want to be using are Helmet and Weapon from either the Earth's Entropy OR Nightmare set combined with Gloves and Shoulders from the Poem set.

### **Card Sets**

Cards are an endgame system to maximize your characters potential. Below are some of the recommended sets/setups for this class.
You have a total of 6 card slots available and can create several combinations until you start working on Awakening piece sets and reach their minimum requirements.

- Beginner Card Sets
- :cardset[Field Boss II] 4 Set. This will give you +8.00% Max Health.
- :cardset[Romanticist] 2 Set. Lowers your Movement Skill Cooldown by -10%.

Or

- :cardset[Forest of Giants] 3 Set. This increases the Effectiveness of your recovery items by +15%. (Best Value non-awakening card set).
- :cardset[We'll Meet Again] 3 Set. This will give you -12% Damage taken while below 50% max Health. And at 9-Awakening an additional -18% Damage taken while below 50%.

You can also combine the Forest of Giants 3 Set with a Field Boss 2 Set for the +4.00% Max Health boost instead or Romanticist 2 Set for Cooldown reduction on your dodge.

These sets are obtainable early on in the game and give you a slightly better time playing as you learn and get better and until something better becomes available as the ones mentioned below.

- Budget Card Set
- :cardset[Lostwind Cliff] 6 set (12-piece Awakening) This will give you Crit rate +7.00%.

The Lostwind Cliff card set gives you a nice Crit bonus at a more acceptable rate of awakening, leveling this up beyond 12-piece Awakening doesn't have enough investment value. It might take you a while to get it however the Seria and Solas cards are to a degree farm-able instead of being purely luck dependent. (Note: Requires full 6 piece set to be equipped).

- Optimal Damage Card Set
-:cardset[Light of Salvation] 6 Set(12-piece Awakening) Converts your damage type to Holy.
-Light of Salvation 6 Set(18-piece Awakening) Holy Damage +7.00%
-Light of Salvation 6 Set(30-piece Awakening) Holy Damage +8.00%

This card set will increase your raw damage output by a total of 15.00%, a added bonus to that is the +30.00% Dark Damage Reduction it gives.
The Light of Salvation card set is the best damaging card set for all DPS characters in the game but will take very long to complete to a 30-piece Awakening stage. This is a super-long-term goal. (Note: Requires full 6 piece set to be equipped).

### **Summary**

- The Destroyer is slow but tanky during its slow attack charges and animations.
- Blue skills (Concentration) generate Cores while Purple (Gravity Release) skills consume cores to increase their damage and grant 10/20/30% max HP shield accordingly.
- The :engraving[Rage Hammer] build focuses on maximizing your damage output with Gravity Release skills witha high Crit main stat and a balance between Specialization and Swiftness to increase damage and cooldown/movement and attack speed.
- You can give yourself Push Immunity with :skill[Endure Pain] to easier land non-Push Immune skills.
- You can cancel and quick cast your :skill[Seismic Hammer] with :skill[Spacebar].
- Always use your :skill[Endure Pain] to taunt the Boss away from your team when its available.
- :idskill[Hypergravity] is best used when a Boss is going to stay stationary or close to you and to avoid damage while doing damage.
- Most of the Destroyers skills have high stagger and weak point so you are always a major asset to armor breaking and stagger checks.
- With :tripod[Endure Pain, Hidden Pain] you can enter a near God-mode state for a brief moment when using :skill[Endure Pain]
- Your :skill[Big Bang] Awakening skill has good damage resistance while charging so it can be used without to much concern of taking fatal damage.

You will spend most of your time bashing, pushing, jumping, charging and slapping the boss with your shield whilst being shielded taking little to no damage once you master its play style and get to higher gear levels.

**Alternatives**

Replace :skill[Shield Shock] with :skill[Dash Upper Fire] for a more reliable counter skill specifically important for the Valtan legion raid and other easily counter-able raid bosses. The same would go for Weak Point damage.
If you want a more defensive option replace :skill[Shield Shock] with :skill[Counter Gunlance] or for your team :skill[Nellasia's Energy].

### **Skill Breakdown**

- :skill[Shout of Hatred] is the Taunt skill forcing the boss to look at you during regular attacks also generating the majority of your shield gauge to use :idskill[Defensive Stance].
- :skill[Shield Bash] is a strong Stagger and movement ability to position yourself better before using your main combo's.
- :skill[Bash] is your combo starter with a great self-buff and great Stagger. It has very short range.
- :skill[Leap Attack] one of your main damage abilities, also used as a repositioning tool during your damage combo.
- :skill[Guardian's Thunderbolt] is your main damage ability with a better chance to get the "lucky" hit to land if you are closer/inside the Boss's hitbox.
- :skill[Surge Cannon] is a charge main damage ability with great damage potential that also helps break the Boss with Weak Point.
- :skill[Shield Charge] is used for repositioning/chasing the boss and does decent damage.
- :skill[Shield Shock] is a self-buff/de-buff ability with a long combo window to easily re-apply the self-buff and de-buff and decent stagger.
- :skill[Guardian's Protection] is the defensive Awakening option that gives 40% damage reduction for all party members standing within it and Super Armor for 10 seconds. It refills 100% of your shield gauge upon use (even if you have :idskill[Defensive Stance] active) and does average damage.
- :skill[Lance of Judgment] is the offensive Awakening option that gives 10% Crit chance for all party members standing within it for 10 seconds and does good damage.

**Alternatives**

- :skill[Dash Upper Fire] is the main Counter ability with added Weak Point if needed.
- :skill[Counter Gunlance] a more defensive ignore mechanic ability to Parry incoming damage.
- :skill[Nellasia's Energy] a party skill for more team support if wanted/needed.

### **Gameplay**

With :engraving[Combat Readiness] you do not have to dodge a lot of mechanics; instead, you simply take the hit from most normal attacks. However wipe mechanics and %HP skills will still hurt you, you have to manage your :idskill[Defenstive Stance] shield gauge properly. Re-positioning with :skill[Shield Charge] is very important to avoid taking massive damage or failing wipe mechanics.

- Turn off :idskill[Defensive Stance] before each use of :skill[Shout of Hatred], as it generates no Shield Meter gauge while :idskill[Defensive Stance] is active.
- Using :skill[Nellasia's Energy] if you have no support helps manage your :idskill[Defensive Stance] as it will take priority over it when taking damage.
- For hard hitting Boss mechanics you can avoid damage with :skill[Counter Gunlance] if you choose to run this.
- Use your *spacebar* to avoid getting knocked down when your :idskill[Defensive Stance] is not active.

**For your main damage rotation(s). **

Use :skill[Shout of Hatred at a slight distance to not get easily interrupted and then follow up with :skill[Shield Bash] if needed to position yourself for your combo to hit :skill[Bash].

Whenever :skill[Shout of Hatred] is available de-activate :idskill[Defensive Stance] for the Shield Meter then re-activate :idskill[Defensive Stance] and continue with:

2. :skill[Guardian's Thunderbolt]
3. :skill[Surge Cannon] if the boss doesn't move/:skill[Leap Attack] if the boss moves.

- During skill rotations as fillers make sure to upkeep :tripod[Bash, Armor Destruction] for your party and :rune[Bleed, 4] as much as possible.

For perilous situations or to help your entire party ignore mechanics during something like Argos you can use :idskill[Battlefield Shield] to shield your entire party temporarily at the cost of your entire Shield Meter. This is however not recommended in most situations and is a last resort or for planned ignoring of specific damaging mechanics such as the "Mini-Pizza" on Argos.

### **Stats**

The :engraving[Combat Readiness] Gunlancer focuses primarily on Specialization and Crit as the secondary stat for the necklace, as the build runs primarily Normal Skills (Blue Skills), which gain bonus damage from Specialization. It also helps gain more Shield Meter from your :skill[Shout of Hatred] for better :idskill[Defensive Stance] management.

### **Engravings**

There are a few setups that work well for the Gunlancer. Below are the recommended Engravings for this build.

**Starter Engravings**

- :engraving[Combat Readiness] is great to have at level 1 as it offers the most benefit at level 1.
- :engraving[Barricade] provides a great 16% damage boost while shielded which for the :engraving[Combat Readiness] build means most of the time as your shield will be up for most of your damage rotations.

**Endgame Engravings**

- :engraving[Stabilized Status] is a good engraving for the :engraving[Combat Readiness] Gunlancer, as at higher levels you will barely take damage outside of your :idskill[Defensive Stance].
- :engraving[Spirit Absorption] helps with the lack of overall mobility and attack speed complimenting the build nicely.
- :engraving[Hit Master] can be a alternative to :engraving[Grudge] or :engraving[Cursed Doll] as your main damaging abilities do not require Head or Back Attacks.
- :engraving[Adrenaline] is a easy source of Crit Rate with a decent gem set up.

**Advanced Engravings**

- :engraving[Cursed Doll]* a 16% damage increase at the cost of 25% incoming healing effects from potions and players.
- :engraving[Grudge]* a 20% damage increase to bosses while receiving 20% more damage as well, as the Gunlancer you are EXTREMELY tanky so the drawback of this is not noticed as heavily as other classes.

The only noteworthy gear set currently is the Preordained Diligence Set from Argos, as the Gunlancer has very low Crit so it helps him boost his damage the most.

- :skill[Shield Bash] with :rune[Protection, 3] helps negate damage as you activate your :idskill[Combat Readiness] to do your combos.
- :skill[Shout of Hatred] uses :rune[Focus, 3] as the :rune[Wealth, 4] does not affect the gauge generation from it, only Specialization does.
- :skill[Bash] with :rune[Bleed, 4] does the highest bleed damage. Alternatively you can use :rune[Rage, 4] on :skill[Bash] for potentially faster Skill rotations.
- :skill[Leap Attack] and :skill[Guardian's Thunderbolt] with :rune[Quick Recharge, 3] help lower the cooldown of :skill[Shout of Hatred] for easier Shield Meter management.
- :skill[Shield Charge] and :skill[Shield Shock] use :rune[Bleed, 3] runes as "filler" abilities for more damage up-time. Alternatively :rune[Galewind, 3] can be used for :skill[Shield Charge].
- :skill[Dash Upper Fire] with :rune[Overwhelm, 4] for better stagger. Alternatively you can use :rune[Protection, 3].
- :skill[Surge Cannon] with :rune[Galewind, 3] for faster skill use.
- :skill[Nellasia's Energy] uses :rune[Focus, 4] to lower the mana cost so it doesn't disrupt your mana flow.

Gems grant bonus damage and cooldown reduction to specific skills. You can only equip 11 of these Gems at a time so it is recommended that you prioritize the Gems for your most important skills.

Cards are an endgame system to maximize your characters potential. Below are some of the recommended sets/setups for this class.
You have a total of 6 card slots available and can create several combinations until you start working on Awakening piece sets and reach their minimum requirements.

- Beginner Card Sets
- :cardset[Field Boss II] 4 Set. This will give you +8.00% Max Health.
- :cardset[Romanticist] 2 Set. Lowers your Movement Skill Cooldown by -10%.

Or

- :cardset[Forest of Giants] 3 Set. This increases the Effectiveness of your recovery items by +15%. (Best Value non-awakening card set).
- :cardset[We'll Meet Again] 3 Set. This will give you -12% Damage taken while below 50% max Health. And at 9-Awakening an additional -18% Damage taken while below 50%.

You can also combine the Forest of Giants 3 Set with a Field Boss 2 Set for the +4.00% Max Health boost instead or Romanticist 2 Set for Cooldown reduction on your dodge.

These sets are obtainable early on in the game and give you a slightly better time playing as you learn and get better and until something better becomes available as the ones mentioned below.

- Budget Card Set
- :cardset[Lostwind Cliff] 6 set (12-piece Awakening) This will give you Crit rate +7.00%.

The Lostwind Cliff card set gives you a nice Crit bonus at a more acceptable rate of awakening, leveling this up beyond 12-piece Awakening doesn't have enough investment value. It might take you a while to get it however the Seria and Solas cards are to a degree farm-able instead of being purely luck dependent. (Note: Requires full 6 piece set to be equipped).

- Optimal Damage Card Set
-:cardset[Light of Salvation] 6 Set(12-piece Awakening) Converts your damage type to Holy.
-Light of Salvation 6 Set(18-piece Awakening) Holy Damage +7.00%
-Light of Salvation 6 Set(30-piece Awakening) Holy Damage +8.00%

This card set will increase your raw damage output by a total of 15.00%, a added bonus to that is the +30.00% Dark Damage Reduction it gives.
The Light of Salvation card set is the best damaging card set for all DPS characters in the game but will take very long to complete to a 30-piece Awakening stage. This is a super-long-term goal. (Note: Requires full 6 piece set to be equipped).

The "EXPLOSION!!!" Artillerist Raid Build, this is where you get to point at things and blow them up with nuclear bombs, air-strikes bombardments, way to many rockets and a giant laser. Special effects and a VERY tanky character dealing massive amounts of damage with great Stagger de-buffs and damage for your entire team.

### **Skill Point Progression**

- At 268 Skill Points upgrade :skill[Napalm Shot] to level 7 and add :tripod[Napalm Shot, Vital Point Barrage].
- At 284 Skill Points upgrade :skill[Summon Turret] to level 7 and add :tripod[Summon Turret, Enhanced Turret].
- At 312 Skill Points upgrade :skill[Napalm Shot] to level 10 and add :tripod[Napalm Shot, Chain Explosion].

- Upkeep :tripod[Summon Turret, Armor Destruction] de-buff with :skill[Summon Turret] and :skill[Enhanced Shell]. You only need 1 :skill[Summon Turret] out at a time for this which will then recharge its Cooldown per turret.
- Your main skill rotation is:

- :skill[Energy Field] gives a big shield that gives Push Immunity while performing your main rotation and prevents most interruptions while casting your main damage abilities :skill[Homing Barrage] and :skill[Air Raid]. The rest of the rotation is used as filler or Identity Gauge generation.
- Whenever you have :idskill[Barrage Mode] ready after using :skill[Homing Barrage] and :skill[Air Raid] apply :tripod[Summon Turret, Armor Destruction], cast :idskill[Barrage Mode] quickly follow up with :skill[Bombardment: Impregnability] followed by :skill[Barrage: Howitzer] and :skill[Barrage: Energy Cannon] and disable :idskill[Barrage Mode] to return to your main rotation. You can cancel your :skill[Barrage: Energy Cannon] by re-activating it if the target moves out of its rotation range as the rotating is rather clunky and slow.
- When using :engraving[Barricade] you can use the following rotation options as fillers before :skill[Energy Field] is available again to apply the Engraving Effect.

3. :skill[Multiple Rocket Launcher] with :rune[Protection, 3]

### **Stats**

The Artillerist focuses heavily on Crit and Swiftness. The recommended setup would be to go Crit on all accesories with Swiftness as your secondary stat on your necklace.
Together with :engraving[Firepower Enhancement] the Artillerist will have very high Crit Rate on all abilities. Swiftness will help compensate for animations, cooldowns and low mobility that the Artillerist has.

### **Engravings**

There are a few setups that work well for the Artillerist. Below are the recommended Engravings for this build.

**Starter Engravings**

- :engraving[Firepower Enhancement] gives -20% damage received and increases Crit Rate per stage. Before Tier 3 you only need 1 level into this.
- :engraving[Hit Master] is great for the majority of the Artillerists skill-set because there are no back or head attack requirements on them.

**Endgame Engravings**

- :engraving[Keen Blunt Weapon]* is a great engraving once you hit the break-point at 65-70% Crit rate, as the Artillerist stacks a lot of passive Crit with  :engraving[Firepower Enhancement] and base stats.
- :engraving[Barricade] increases your damage when shielded. This is great to use with :skill[Energy Field], :skill[Flamethrower], :skill[Bombardment: Impregnability] and :skill[Multiple Rocket Launcher] with any :rune[Protection, 3] Rune.
- :engraving[Adrenaline] helps get higher Crit rate and a slight damage boost which is easily stackable with the Artillerist's main skill rotations.

**Advanced Engravings**

- :engraving[Cursed Doll]* for a simple Attack Power increase but receiving 25% less healing from all sources, aka potions/bards. Often chosen as the final/5th engraving.
- :engraving[Grudge]* for a 20% increase of damage vs bosses while also receiving 20% more damage. Very powerful but with a drawback. As the Artillerist is naturally very tanky its not as punishing for him as it is for other classes.

### **Card Sets**

Cards are an endgame system to maximize your characters potential. Below are some of the recommended sets/setups for this class.
You have a total of 6 card slots available and can create several combinations until you start working on Awakening piece sets and reach their minimum requirements.

- Beginner Card Sets
- :cardset[Field Boss II] 4 Set. This will give you +8.00% Max Health.
- :cardset[Romanticist] 2 Set. Lowers your Movement Skill Cooldown by -10%.

Or

- :cardset[Forest of Giants] 3 Set. This increases the Effectiveness of your recovery items by +15%. (Best Value non-awakening card set).
- :cardset[We'll Meet Again] 3 Set. This will give you -12% Damage taken while below 50% max Health. And at 9-Awakening an additional -18% Damage taken while below 50%.

You can also combine the Forest of Giants 3 Set with a Field Boss 2 Set for the +4.00% Max Health boost instead or Romanticist 2 Set for Cooldown reduction on your dodge.

These sets are obtainable early on in the game and give you a slightly better time playing as you learn and get better and until something better becomes available as the ones mentioned below.

- Budget Card Set
- :cardset[Lostwind Cliff] 6 set (12-piece Awakening) This will give you Crit rate +7.00%.

The Lostwind Cliff card set gives you a nice Crit bonus at a more acceptable rate of awakening, leveling this up beyond 12-piece Awakening doesn't have enough investment value. It might take you a while to get it however the Seria and Solas cards are to a degree farm-able instead of being purely luck dependent. (Note: Requires full 6 piece set to be equipped).

- Optimal Damage Card Set
-:cardset[Light of Salvation] 6 Set(12-piece Awakening) Converts your damage type to Holy.
-Light of Salvation 6 Set(18-piece Awakening) Holy Damage +7.00%
-Light of Salvation 6 Set(30-piece Awakening) Holy Damage +8.00%

This card set will increase your raw damage output by a total of 15.00%, a added bonus to that is the +30.00% Dark Damage Reduction it gives.
The Light of Salvation card set is the best damaging card set for all DPS characters in the game but will take very long to complete to a 30-piece Awakening stage. This is a super-long-term goal. (Note: Requires full 6 piece set to be equipped).

### **Summary**

- Use :skill[Energy Field] to increase survivability and reduce risk of interruption.
- Keep your :tripod[Summon Turret, Armor Destruction] de-buff up by always having one :skill[Summon Turret] summoned and/or by using your :skill[Enhanced Shell].
- Use your Spacebar to cancel long animation skills if needed to dodge incoming attacks.
- Your Counter Attack ability is :skill[Napalm Shot] it has a very slow long wind up to counter.
- Your strongest combo is :skill[Homing Barrage] + :skill[Air Raid].
- For Stagger checks start off with :skill[Napalm Shot] if available for the de-buff :tripod[Napalm Shot, Target Focus].

Artillerist - Firepower Enhancement Raid Build

### Intro
This Glaivier build is made for both 1v1 and 3v3. It focuses on agility while constantly applying pressure to isolated targets and has a wide variety of CC capabilities. The main goal with this build is making your opponents waste their spacebar roll with Moon stance skills which will enable you to execute a high damage combo. The combo itself is very simple and requires a little bit of positioning but will drain the enemies HP bar in an instant if executed correctly.

### Skill Breakdown
- :skill[Chain Slash] is a movement skill that has a built in stagger on the dash and on the spear hit. It is only usable with :tripod[Chain Slash, Swoop] tripod for the movement range
- :skill[Flash Kick] is a movement skill that has a built in stagger immunity with extra movement range and stun on hit. It can be used offensively, defensively, to intercept opponents or simply get out of messy situation. Very powerful skill that can interrupt opponents combo as it has a very fast cast time
- :skill[Vault] has a very good range and knock-up where it can be used as a combo extender or a combo starter
- :skill[Half Moon Slash] is main skill for setting up damage combo
- :skill[Raging Dragon Slash] high damage moon skill that also gives a long knockback and knockdown on everyone it hits
- :skill[Wheel of Blades] with :tripod[Wheel of Blades, Tenacity] tripod gives you super armor which can be used defensively or to interrupt certain combos that your opponents are trying to do
- :skill[Spear Dive] is mainly used as a movement skill, combo starter or combo extender as it also staggers opponents
- :skill[Cutting Wind] does not offer any protection while using, and it is mainly used to deal damage or finish off low HP opponents
- :skill[Spiraling Spear], :skill[4-Headed Dragon] and :skill[Thrust of Destruction] are 3 skills that you will almost never use, and they don't require any skill points, but since there are extra 12 skill points you can just put 4 skill points into each of them
- :skill[Starfall Pounce] is used as a damage dealing extension or a movement skill to engage or disengage from the fights
- :skill[Dragonscale Defense] is defensive skill that offers immunity to staggers and knockdowns when used and counter-attacks by stunning the opponent if you get hit. Timing this correctly can be used as a combo starter
- :skill[Red Dragon's Horn] is main damage dealing skill that with selected tripods has 100% crit chance and 100% crit damage while hitting with the spear tip. Requires a bit of positioning but very easy to combo off your other skills. Only use it when you can secure a hit otherwise you will lose out on massive damage dealing tool
- :skill[Yeon-Style Spear Technique: Storming Red Dragon] is the preferred awakening in PVP as the other one can easily be dodged by simply walking away since it has a high cast time. Both of them can work in PVP, and each can suit a different playstyle
 
### Combat Stats
As Glaivier in PvP you want to go 750 **Swiftness** , 249 **Domination** and 1 **Crit** for that extra crit chance when it happens.

### Combos
There is only 1 main combo that you will want to use with this build and it can be executed in two different ways. Combo #1 requires you to burn the opponents space bar roll after knockdown. This is essential as the follow up damage combo will not work if the opponent can simply roll out and dodge. You can force the spacebar roll by using your other moon skills that offer a wide variety of knockdowns and knock-ups. Just make sure to save the ones you need to start the combo.

**Combo #1**
- If the opponent has spacebar roll available:
1. :skill[Vault] or :skill[Wheel of Blades] to burn the spacebar roll after knockdown
2. :skill[Raging Dragon Slash] for a high damage,  knockback and knockdown
3. Take 1-2 steps away from the target
4. Swap to Sun stance
5. Start charging up :skill[Red Dragon's Horn] and make sure you hit the opponent with the spear tip for maximum damage
6. Finish off with :skill[Starfall Pounce] for extra damage

**Combo #2**
- Combo #2 does not require you to burn your opponents spacebar roll but it will be easier to land the combo.

1. :skill[Half Moon Slash] will use a stationary tornado that will knock-up opponent in the air
2. Spacebar backwards while swapping to Sun stance simultaneously 
3. Start charging :skill[Red Dragon's Horn] as the opponent is falling down from tornado straight onto your hit.
4. If the timing was good and you were at good distance to hit with spear tip, the opponent won't have enough time to use space bar to roll out as he will get hit while he is still falling down
5. Finish off with :skill[Starfall Pounce] for extra damage

### Gameplay
- The main goal as a Glaivier in PVP is to be annoying and find isolated targets that you can focus
- Pay attention to what your teammates are doing and keep an eye out if they force any opponent to use their spacebar roll. If they do it, this will be your primary target to combo
- Depending if opponent has spacebar roll or not, execute one of the 2 combos to set yourself up for big damage
- You can play solo and be very selfish as you have a lot of movement skills that can get you in and out of fights really fast
- Always wait for your cooldowns before you go in and play defensive for couple seconds, while helping your teammates by peeling for them or setting them up for combo
- Baiting with :skill[Dragonscale Defense] is a great way to start the combo and set yourself or your teammates up for massive damage
- :skill[Flash Kick] and :skill[Starfall Pounce] can be both used to start combo for your teammate, interrupt opponent combos or be used defensively to get away from fights or peel for your teammates

### Summary
- Be annoying to ranged classes in the opposing team
- Glaivier is a fast melee class that can go in and out of fights quickly
- Don't force a combo if the setup isn't good
- Missing :skill[Red Dragon's Horn] with poor setup and not paying attention to your opponents spacebar roll cooldown will result in a massive damage loss
- Always force spacebar roll before any combo
- Use awakening when in a pinch and you need a getaway free card
- You have a lot of peeling skills to help teammates, but you can also play solo and be somewhat selfish
- Always play around teammates and be defensive while waiting for cooldowns
- Always be wary of your super armor skills as they can be used to get you out of pinch
